Volunteer Spotlight: How Sarah Makes A Difference
Meet Sarah Williams, one of our most dedicated food pantry volunteers who has been serving with Coastal Community Partners for over three years.
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, you’ll find Sarah at our food pantry, greeting clients with a warm smile, helping families shop for groceries, and ensuring everyone feels welcomed and valued.
“I started volunteering after I retired,” Sarah shares. “I wanted to give back to my community, and I’ve discovered that I receive far more than I give. The relationships I’ve built here have enriched my life in ways I never expected.”
Sarah’s impact goes beyond the hours she logs. She remembers clients’ names, asks about their children, and creates a welcoming atmosphere that turns a difficult moment into a dignified experience.
“Sarah makes everyone feel seen and valued,” said Jennifer Park, our Volunteer Coordinator. “She embodies the spirit of compassionate service that defines our organization.”
In three years, Sarah has contributed over 600 volunteer hours, helped serve more than 5,000 families, and inspired countless other volunteers through her example of dedicated service.
When asked what keeps her coming back week after week, Sarah’s answer is simple: “These are my neighbors. This is my community. How could I not show up?”
