About Coastal Community Partners
Fifteen years of serving Virginia Beach with compassion, dignity, and hope.
Our Story
Coastal Community Partners began in 2010 when a small group of Virginia Beach residents recognized a growing need in our community. Families were struggling to put food on the table. Youth lacked safe spaces after school. Neighbors felt disconnected from one another.
What started as a weekend food distribution in a church parking lot has grown into a comprehensive network of services reaching nearly 3,000 individuals annually. But our mission has remained the same: to build a stronger, more connected community where every family has the support they need to thrive.
Today, we operate Virginia Beach’s largest independent food pantry, provide year-round youth programming, offer emergency family services, and host community-building events that bring neighbors together. We’ve distributed over 500,000 meals, mentored hundreds of youth, and connected thousands of families with resources.
But we’re most proud of how we serve – with dignity, respect, and genuine care for each person who walks through our doors. We don’t just provide services; we build relationships. We see our neighbors’ potential, not their circumstances.
